Going After Your Goals with God

What do you want out of life? What do you dream about doing? What would you do if you had a million dollars? If you’ve never asked yourself these questions, do so now. Because how you answer these questions and the following will tell you a lot about your dreams for your life and where you need to go from here.

Dream as if Heaven backs you "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

Dream Big, Dream Bold

For example, if money was no obstacle, where would you live?

What do you hope to accomplish in your time left on earth?

Are you living and thriving, or just surviving? And, is your life, and your answers to the above questions, reflective of your faith? Because as a follower of Jesus Christ, you’re called to a higher standard. And it is my hope that you will be inspired in the coming day to aspire to that standard. That calling, for more.

I want you to start thinking and dreaming. Answer the questions I pose to you over the next couple of days and posts, and write out your own questions as they come to you.

Questions like, are you content with where you’re at- or do you desire more?

Do you desire more out of life?

More of God’s purpose? More of God’s promises? And more fulfillment?

I have to assume that if you’re reading this post, it’s not by coincidence. But it is by divine appointment. You’re reading this post because God has placed some desires on your heart and you know our God is a good God who loves His children and wants to bless them.

Psalm 20:4 (NIV) “May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” AMEN! Am I right?

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11 God’s Plan for Us

God’s Word tells us that He has a good plan for our life. A plan to give us hope, prosperity, and a future. In fact, the verse that tells us this is one of my favorites- and comes from the book of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

My desire to share the promises described in Jeremiah 29:11 with a new generation of believers and followers of Christ is what spurred me to become a Christian lifestyle blogger. To make others aware of the awesome plans God has for them. And to direct them on how to fulfill His plan and purpose for their lives.

Part of knowing God’s plan for our lives is dependent on hearing God’s voice. Heeding His direction and obeying when He calls. And yes, God is still speaking, even today.

The greatest action novel of all time- the book of Acts- tells of how God was leading a generation of Christ followers in victory over their circumstances. And He did this through signs and wonders, miracles and healings.

Signs, Wonders, Miracles, and Healing

God was showing up and showing off- and I believe He’s still doing it today. I believe He’s still speaking, still moving, still doing. Guiding us into the plans He has for us.

The real question then is, are we listening for His voice, as we’re pursuing His promises? Because I assure you that His plans for your life are far greater than even your wildest dreams for your life.
